Besançon |
| |
|
|
Besançon
with its rich history of over 2000 years is the “capital”
of the Franche-Comté. In 58 b.c. Julius Caesar had already
been to Besançon to investigate its exceptional offensive
site.

| |
Having been under german, spanish and finally french authorities, the
city has a variety of very rich and interesting architecture.
Even famous personalities such as Victor Hugo and Lumière's
brothers were born in Besançon. They gave their names to streets,
squares and buildings throughout the city. |
